Music Ministry Opportunities

CANTORS…
lead song in worship and minister to the assembly by encouraging participation within the sung prayer. Cantors also come together to form Cantorei, which sings at most evening Feast Day Masses. New cantors will go through a brief training session before starting. Music reading skills are recommended, but not required.

CELEBRATION ENSEMBLE..…
is an ensemble of 20 (maximum) singers and instrumentalists who sing and play at the 11:00 a.m. Mass with one Sunday off each month. Music reading skills are not required but a skilled ear for singing is required.

Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR...

is open to all children of the parish in grades 1-8. The children sing at the 5:00 p.m. Mass once a month, as well as Mass on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve.  Children in grades 6-8 also have the opportunity to ring handbells.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 3:40 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.   *CHERUB CHOIR (gr. 1-3)

                                                                                            Thursdays, 3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  *SF CHORISTERS (gr. 4-8)

GALLERY CHOIR...…
is a group of 30+ mixed voices that sing at the 9:00 a.m. Mass with one Sunday off each month . Music reading skills are not required, but a skilled ear for singing is required.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

INSTRUMENTALISTS....

who are advanced in playing a liturgical instrument such as flute, oboe, violin, cello, guitar, trumpet, trombone, and percussion are invited to add their talent to worship during Mass, concerts, or special prayer services.

MEN'S CHOIR…

is an ensemble of male voices who sing on Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion of Holy Week. Commitment time is 8-10 weeks each season. This choir is great for those men who cannot commit to an entire season. Music reading skills are not required, but a skilled ear for singing is required.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., February – April

SPIRIT YOUTH CHOIR…

is a vibrant ensemble of singers and instrumentalists open to all TEENS in grades 9-12 of the parish. This ensemble sings at the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Sunday evenings from September – May. 

Rehearsals: 4:00 p.m. Sundays prior to Mass
