In December of 1996 at Rosary Collage (now known as Benedictine University) Rosemary Sherman and I were assisting with the tech along with Carl Cindic for the presentation of the operetta “At Bethlehem’s Door” created by Barbara Kalnes and Ed Novak both of SFX.  Carl had an image of a star that we could project onto the main curtain of the auditorium.  Having seen the star, Rosemary went to Father Stenzel the pastor, to ask if it might be possible to do the same type of projection on the dome of our worship space.  With his OK, the star we see on the dome at Advent and Christmas was born.
