My favorite memory of St. Francis are the children in the pews on Sunday.  It is beautiful, calming and assuring to experience children at prayer.   Some sit quiet and dignified, putting me to shame for loosing attention, even for a moment.  Some quietly occupy themselves with books and toys to keep calm and focused while others try their very best to keep still and quiet; waiting out for the deal to be done. One day, when the Amen after the Glory sounded, a little girl asked her grandma; “Are we done yet?”  Thank you, parents and grandparents for sharing your children. Thank you for giving them FAITH one of the great treasures of living well.  As Fr. John Hoffman used to say, we admire you for your ability and commitment to get everybody together, ready and moving in the same direction every Sunday morning.  We are stronger, happier, energized and full of hope for a better tomorrow because of you.  Thank you and God bless you always.
