Joan Smigielski Eighth Grade Teacher

I am married and have two children. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and traveling with 
my family.   A product of Catholic Education myself, I have devoted my life to teaching students in the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago since 1986.  I love working with my Middle School students! In 2014 she joined the St. Francis Xavier School Staff and is currently teaching 7th and 8th grade Social Studies.  She is also a Certified Catechist for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  In her free time, Mrs. Smigielski enjoys cooking and traveling with her family.  Her philosophy to live by: “Never give up!”
