Mrs. Mattucci received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University of Chicago.  Her first job was here at St. Francis Xavier, teaching 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies.  Mrs. Mattucci also worked as a Preschool and first grade teaching assistant at SFX and served as Assistant Principal for one year.  She coached cheerleading for many years and enjoyed her time as Recess Coordinator and Peer Mediation Coordinator.  She now loves her role as a Resource Teacher for grades 2, 3 and 4.

Mrs. Mattucci would like you to know: “In my first year teaching at SFX (1982) I was responsible for making our SFX Fight Song (written by fellow alums Marty and Jimmy Dunne) part of our pep rallies and athletic events.  Jimmy visited our school in 1982 and played the song at an assembly and we loved it!  The fight song has been taught at SFX every year since then.  The final words of the song, ‘Francis, we love you!’ ring so true for me, as I am a very proud graduate of SFX, Class of 1973!”
